Toria Gardner

Toria spent 17 years working in the London legal recruitment market for two of the City’s leading agencies before founding Gardner Halliday. She works with fee-earners and professional support lawyers at all levels and recruits for law firms across the full range of their practice areas.

Toria has a deep knowledge of the major law firms in London and has established strong and long-lasting relationships with her contacts. She advises frankly and objectively on the opportunities that are available and also the different career paths that can be taken. Toria believes that finding the right ‘match’ for both her candidates and clients is crucial. It is in securing these positive outcomes for both parties that also makes her work truly rewarding and enjoyable.

Lucy Halliday

Lucy began her career as a lawyer at Norton Rose. At 4 years pqe, she moved into recruitment and spent 10 years with two market leading agencies before founding Gardner Halliday.  She works with lawyers of all levels, across all practice areas and has considerable experience of advising professional support lawyers.

Lucy believes that her experience as a lawyer really informs how she works. She understands what it is like to work in private practice and knows that deciding to make a move is far from straightforward.  Looking for a new role can be about money, career progression or working fewer hours but often it is about more than this. She feels that getting to the bottom of these motivations is one of the most important aspects of what she does.
